Where to find career-boosting webinars
We’re officially in the new normal world thanks to COVID-19. Many businesses have been given the digital jolt to set themselves up in a future-ready manner, and many workers are finding that they’re spending more time conducting meetings and seminars online instead of in person.
A lot more people have also been engaging with webinars. Webinars are an incredible source of information. They’re also fantastic in the way that, often, you can tune in at a time that suits you. During the lockdown I’ve managed to scrounge up some time to devote a few hours to webinars. Below are two of my favourite platforms. I’d recommend signing up to be kept in the loop with any upcoming sessions you’d be interested in.
CreativeLive
CreateLive is a fantastic source of motivation and inspiration for creators. Whether you’re a photographer, writer, designer, or entrepreneur, CreativeLive is bound to have something that will spark your interest.
Often you can find incredibly interesting classes live on air for free. You can also buy a specific class if you can’t watch it live, or you can buy a pass to be able to watch many videos during the month.
Sign up for their mailing list to know when classes will be streaming live and add them to your calendar.
General Assembly
Through General Assembly you can take full courses online, or watch one-off videos. During the COVID-19 crisis, General Assembly offered Free Fridays, which included a range of workshops completely free. General Assembly offer workshops and courses for everything from digital marketing right through to JavaScript development. Depending on your career interests, there may be something you’d like to sign up to learn about.
Sign up to their mailing list, too, as you’ll get notified of all the great workshops coming up.
I’d love to hear which online courses and webinars you’ve taken and enjoyed. Let me know in the comments below.
